About us
To celebrate childhood in all its colour, character and individuality. Giving little people the freedom to be completely and unapologetically themselves.
Our Story
Carlo the Label is an Australian unisex childrenswear brand creating expressive clothes for little people with big personalities.
Relaxed, elevated silhouettes meet unexpected colour, playful artwork and thoughtful detailing. Designed beyond gender and made to move easily through seasons, wardrobes and childhood itself.
Crafted in considered natural fibres with room to grow, Carlo pieces are made to be worn often, lived in, washed, shared, passed on and loved again.
A brand built from colour, heart and individuality.
Founded by Amber, Carlo is named in memory of her dad, Carl, someone known for doing things his own way.
That sense of individuality sits at the heart of the brand, shaping a point of view built around colour, character and clothes that feel expressive, playful and made for real childhoods.
Amber’s son, Julian, is another constant source of inspiration. A reminder of the curiosity, humour and individuality that make childhood so distinctive.
Carlo grew from a period of change and new perspective, becoming a way to create something thoughtful, joyful and full of meaning.
Made with imagination.
There’s no single starting point for a Carlo print.
Some begin as original paintings by Amber’s mum, whose artwork once lived only on the walls of their family home. Others are created by Amber herself, or developed alongside a friend and print designer.
Each starts with an idea, a feeling or a small spark of imagination. Resulting in artwork that feels personal, playful and unmistakably Carlo.
Wear. Wash. Repeat. Remember.
Carlo believes childrenswear should feel special without ever being too precious to play in. Our seasonless approach is about creating thoughtful, versatile wardrobes filled with pieces children genuinely love to wear. Favourites worn on repeat, layered in new ways and lived in throughout the year. Made for real childhoods.. to be played in, explored in, washed, worn, passed down and remembered. Because every grass stain, splash and little mark tells the story of a childhood well spent.
